We are a consultancy that helps international professionals realize their full potential, without language or cultural differences holding them back. We seek to empower employees and managers to create more impactful work.
Our Story
TASMY—Tara, Abby, Suzanne, Mary, and Yuna, came together when the five educators were teaching and managing programs at the English Language Institute at New York University, one of the premier language centers in the United States. Combined, we have more than 100 years of teaching experience. We have taught thousands of language learners from many countries around the world. We have won numerous teaching and service awards, mentored dozens of language educators, and presented at premier regional, national, and international conferences.
At NYU we collaborated on program design, program management, language assessment, and curricula projects, and of course, we always shared teaching tips. After a change of leadership at the university, we realized that the university structure was not the best way to meet the needs of students. While the university could not respond to student or client needs and demands swiftly due to its bureaucratic nature, we could.
TASMY was born out of the desire to meet language learners where they are and to design tailored offerings to meet their needs. Our mission is to empower global professionals and managers to enhance their language and communication skills so they can thrive in their workplaces.
